Golf Course Design, new technologies, sustainable Development
It is very difficult to compare a natural golf course vs. artificial golf course, “apple to apple” comparison. We at Thompson Golf Planning believe artificial grass is the way that enables the development of certain golf segments,(Picht & Putt, Executive Golf Course) as opposed to a conversion of natural golf courses to artificial grass. We say synthetic Grass for golf must be design first, since is very difficult or impossible to adapt or convert a natural Design into a Synthetic Design; this means that you must Design for synthetic turf, to do so you must not select fibbers or manufactures of sports fibbers, or choose Soccer Fibbers, your choose must be aim to landscaped fibbers that could combine Playability and Durability; Soccer Fibbers used for golf purpose makes the club to bounce and produce and awful results, this is vital even know the golf club must follow trough; on landscaped fibbers this is accomplish; we at TGP aim to Par 3 Holes, or Picht & Putts, executive golf and long Par 3 Facilities; Nevertheless our aim is not to give qualitative analysis of our firm opinion but to share a basic theoretical analysis that proves that artificial grass pays out for golf as well; all this information is based on our R+D and on our continuous research in Both Facilities Design and Build by our crew Team for a local Spanish company.
